These employees are now helping preserve our sought-after SCC Gator culture, and are personally invested in providing the same cherished experience from their childhood for the current kids and members at SCC. In addition to the member experience, Chuck pushes a proactive and preventative lifeguard philosophy at the pool, encouraging his staff to prevent unsafe and dangerous situations at the pool before they can even happen.

In addition to growing up swimming at SCC, Chuck swam competitively for Hinsdale Swim Club and was a four-year varsity swimmer at Hinsdale Central, graduating in 2007. He uses his experience from coaching more than half his lifetime and lifelong love of the water, to help swimmers learn new and improve existing swimming abilities. Zoe Lagessie

Zoe Lagessie

Diving Coach

Zoe has been coaching dive collectively for 3 years now. She has been the head diving coach at Five Seasons Swim Club in Burr Ridge for all three years. This will be her second year back at SCC. Both locations have been enlightening to coach at, and the kids are always willing and eager to learn. Alongside team coaching, she has plenty of experience with private dive coaching as well. Most of the kids she has coached privately have gone on to have great diving careers on their high school teams.

Prior to coaching, Zoe trained for 13 years at IGI gymnastics. After many injuries held her back from competing, she began dancing full time in the Salt Creek Ballet company, collectively for 16 years. Here, Zoe picked up many important fine details and teaching skills that have been beneficial to coaching dive. During her  junior year of high school, she returned to compete for the Hinsdale South High School gymnastics team as varsity captain. She competed again on varsity for half of the season in 2019. Unfortunately, she was unable to continue competing in gymnastics due to a severe knee injury. Throughout her gymnastics career, and especially towards the end, she found a new passion for diving. She picked it up very quickly due to her prior training and has  been diving for around 5 years now.

Zoe’s coaching style is encouraging and fun for the kids so that they are able to enjoy diving while also improving on their skills. It is truly amazing to connect with each and every one of the kids, and bring them to their full potential. She has found a passion for coaching dive, and the kids make it all worth it!
